Synopsis: Nina Patterson, a beautiful 25 year old medical student, appears to be on the road to recovery, after a traumatic experience with schizophrenia. One evening, Nina performs an MRI on Michael Cooper, a prominent and very wealthy businessman. Although Nina believes his scan results are perfectly normal, she is later incredibly shocked to find out that Cooper has in fact died from an 'undetected' aneurism.
Convinced that she had not seen any evidence of such a medical condition in Cooper's brain-scan, Nina is driven to investigate why her diagnosis turned out to be so tragically wrong. But as Nina examines the hospital's records, the mystery behind Cooper's death takes a more sinister twist: Nina is led through a labyrinth of medical 'oversights' and 'missteps' that seem to have been committed on purpose! With each piece of evidence, Nina concludes that her ward's supervising doctor seems to have committed a murder... Even more terrifying for Nina: those voices that once tormented her have suddenly reappeared! |
