Her first mistake was trusting him

Deadly Friends (The Death and Life of Nancy Eaton) is a chilling tale based on the book 'A Question of Guilt: The Murder of Nancy Eaton' by William Scoular and Vivian Green. The book details the story behind the tragic death of Nancy Eaton, brutally murdered by her childhood family friend in 1985. The screenplay, adapted by Scoular, chronicles the troubling relationship between Eaton and 17-year-old Andrew Leyshon-Hughes, her childhood friend. The twisted tale ends in a shocking encounter that shakes two of Canada's wealthiest families to the core, and robs a mother of her only daughter. Narrated from beyond the grave, this unusual film offers an examination of fate versus free will and questions the nature of evil.
