 Murder in the Hamptons is based on a true story set in the ultra-rich and celebrity-filled east coast enclave, the East Hamptons. Beautiful but mentally unstable Generosa Rand thinks she’s met the man of her dreams in multi-millionaire Ted Ammon, but her growing insecurity and paranoia wreak havoc on their marriage. A "War of the Roses"-like divorce battle ensues, and Generosa begins an affair with contractor Danny Pelosi. When Ted is found murdered in his Hamptons mansion, the scandal rocks the foundations of the community. Suspicion falls on Generosa and Danny, but there appears to be no evidence to indict either one of them. Will they get away with murder? Were they really responsible for Ted's death? Did Generosa engineer the killing? Did Danny act alone? Everyone has an opinion about what really happened...
