Rudy: The Rudy Giuliani Story
Rudy: The Rudy Giuliani Story
Television Movie, 90 minutes.

He divided a city. He united a nation.

A biographical movie of the witty, overachieving, hot-tempered Mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani, the film spans 20 years of his career: from his rising days as a district attorney in the early 1980's and his marriage to part-time actress Donna Hanover, to his candidacy for mayor, his controversial methods to tackle the city's crime and urban problems, his romance with his assistant Christine Lategano, his battle with prostate cancer, and that terrible day on September 11, 2001 when suicide terrorists hijacked and crashed two passenger airliners into the twin World Trade Center towers. On that day, Giuliani himself narrowly escaped death. Giuliani's toughness and spirited personality helped him face chaos, helped calm New York’s residents, and made him a national hero.
