Sullivan’s Crossing, Season 4 has begun principal photography in Halifax, N.S.  The series airs on CTV, Crave, The CW, and Netflix.

Season 3 was CTV’s most-watched Canadian scripted series of the 2024-25 broadcast year, according to media data company Numeris.

The series follows neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan (Kohan), who finds herself in legal trouble and returns to her hometown in rural Nova Scotia to reconnect with her estranged father Sully Sullivan (Scott Patterson), while figuring out her relationship with Cal (Murray).

Season 4 is executive produced by Reel World Management and Muse Entertainment in association with Bell Media’s CTV, The CW, and Fremantle. The series is distributed internationally by Fremantle. The show’s creator Roma Roth is joined this year by Producers Alex Jordan, Marc Tetreault, and Jason Levangie. Executive Producers are Roma Roth, Chris Perry, Sherry White, Michela Di Mondo, Hilary Martin, and Aren Prupas.

Muse Entertainment has signed an exclusive deal with Toronto-based journalist Rachel Browne to work with Muse’s unscripted team to develop and produce premium doc series for the Canadian and international markets.

“Rachel is one of Canada’s most respected investigative journalists, whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with for the past five years, I’m thrilled to be bringing her further into the fold,” says Jonas Prupas, managing director, Muse Ontario.

Muse and Browne have collaborated on several doc features and series in both development and production, with Browne contributing to current productions such as recently announced Running Smoke for CBC. 

Browne’s work has been recognized by the Canadian Association of Journalists, the Digital Publishing Awards, the National Magazine Awards, and more. She has worked with Muse and other production companies in developing and producing documentary features and series including Witness for CBC, The Dark Side of Comedy for VICE TV, and Water is the New Fire for The Weather Network. Browne is also a Contributing Writer at The Walrus magazine where she publishes longform investigations. Previously, Browne was a senior reporter at VICE, where she produced the documentaries Rat Park and Steel Town Down.

“I am excited to continue working with Muse in bringing compelling and dynamic projects to life,” says Browne.

Casey and Henry are two strangers celebrating birthdays at the same restaurant. They blow out the candles and make their birthday wishes at the same time. The wishes are granted, but there’s a mix-up, and they end up getting each other’s wishes.

Starring Emily Tennant and Jake Foy. The Wish Swap will premiere on Saturday, February 8, 8 p.m. on the Hallmark Channel.

Production is underway on the Beyond Entertainment and Muse Entertainment co-production The Family Next Door, a captivating new six-part drama series, led by Teresa Palmer (The Clearing, The Fall Guy), Bella Heathcote (The Moogai, Pieces of Her) and Philippa Northeast (Territory, The Newsreader).

The Family Next Door tells the story of a woman who moves into a small seaside cul-de-sac where her obsessive drive to solve a mystery casts suspicion on four neighbouring families.

Commissioned by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the series also has major production investment from Screen Australia and the ABC. It is developed and produced in association with VicScreen. International Distributor is Sphere Abacus.

She has a spark with Aaron but knows their secret relationship means they’re both living in sin. When Aaron’s wife dies under suspicious circumstances, Hannah is framed for murder and fights to prove her innocence.

Lifetime’s Adds True Crime Movies ‘Amish Affair,’ ‘Sister Wife Murder’ (hollywoodreporter.com)

Our latest romantic comedy Shifting Gears is premiering on Saturday, March 23, 2024 on the Hallmark Channel. The film is about car restoration… and love.

To save her father’s auto garage, talented Detroit-based mechanic Jess (Katherine Barrell) decides to compete in a classic car restoration show, only to discover that her ex-boyfriend and rival mechanic Luke (Tyler Hynes) is also competing.

The movie will be airing on international networks this spring.

Never Too Late to Celebrate is in the running for a 2024 Canadian Screen Award as Best TV Movie. In addition, Sherry Miller, also from Never Too Late to Celebrate and Niall Matter, who stars in another Muse TV movie, Family History Mysteries: Buried Past, are both nominated for a Canadian Screen Award in the category of Best Performer in a TV Movie.

Muse Entertainment’s series Best Food Forward for Apple TV won a Children and Family Emmy Award for Casting at a ceremony in Los Angeles in December 2023.

Love Drama offers romance, mystery, thrillers and holiday-themed programming, with more than 300 hours of shows available from Muse Entertainment’s library.

The channel is now available in Canada on LG Channels and Pluto TV, and in the UK on Virgin Media and Netgem TV. Love Drama will roll out across additional platforms and territories around the world in 2024.

Filmed in Vietnam for Netflix, the romantic comedy is such a hit with viewers that in less than a week it is the most watched movie on the streaming platform. Gwen Shamblin: Starving for Salvation, starring Jennifer Grey, will have its Canadian premiere on CTV Life on Friday, Feb 10, 2023, 8 pm.

Filmed in Montreal, the story is about a real-life diet guru who built a church and convinced her followers that weight loss would lead to God.

On February 4, 2023, Gwen Shamblin: Starving for Salvation will make its debut on Lifetime channel in the US. Produced by Muse Entertainment, and starring Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing), Gwen Shamblin: Starving for Salvation is directed by John L’Ecuyer from a script by Gregory Small and Richard Blaney. Executive producers are Nancy Bennett and Jesse Prupas.

The film follows controversial religious leader and Christian diet guru Gwen Shamblin Lara, who founded the Remnant Fellowship Church and the Weigh Down Workshop. As her church grew across the US and she accumulated power and money, she demanded that church members alienate themselves from anyone who was not a member, banished those that became overweight, threatened legal action against dissenters and advocated for strict punishment of those who failed to follow the church’s tenets. Her reign came to an end in May 2021 when the plane she was on crashed shortly after takeoff, killing her, her husband, their son-in-law and four other church leaders.

Swindler Seduction, a thriller based on real events, will air on Lifetime on Saturday, October 22, 2022, 8pm and on the Canadian network CTV Life on October 23, 8pm. The movie, starring Colton Haynes and Gabrielle Graham and produced by Muse Entertainment, will also air on many international cable and broadcast networks soon.

Muse Entertainment’s Best Foot Forward for Apple TV+ was praised by many media outlets including The New York Times for how the production prioritized disability representation on both sides of the camera. We did a global search to find Logan Marmino who could authentically portray the lead role of Josh having the same limb difference.  We hired five writers with disabilities making up half the writers’ room. Forty cast and crew members self-identified as having a disability.  Muse Entertainment, alongside Apple TV, created a safe and accessible set with Kiah Amara serving as our Production Accessibility Coordinator.

In the 10-episode series, Josh goes from homeschool to public school, eager to experience everything middle school has to offer! But along the way, Josh also faces a brand-new set of challenges, including how to get an entire school of kids to see past his prosthetic leg, and get to know him for who he is. Muse Entertainment’s Swindler Seduction will premiere October 22, 2022 on the Lifetime channel in the US. It stars Colton Haynes as the swindler Steve Johnson who quickly sweeps Louisa, played by Gabrielle Graham, off her feet while on a sales trip to Chicago. She falls in love with him and his glamorous world, only to realize that Steve is weaving a web of lies.

Muse Entertainment’s factual editors, Eamonn O’Connor and Nick Taylor, won a CCE Award for best editing of the docu-series For Heaven’s Sake from Canadian Cinema Editors.
